Fingerless Mitts

Autumn is here, and when the temperature starts to drop a few degrees, I'm ready for sweaters, and scarves.
I get cold fast, especially my hands. So if I'm sitting on the computer, or sewing, my fingers are like ice!
What better time to knit up some mitts.
I'm using Rowan Little Big Wool, in a dusty pink. Since its chunky, it's going quick. Size 10 (6mm) needles.
The pattern is: Garter Mitts by: Jessica Kaufman  Free download if you're on Ravelry.

It's basically rows of garter stitch that will run vertical with your arm.

In either pic, you see it looks like the start of a scarf the way the stitches run. One mitt took me a couple hours, and wouldn't you know, we've run into a heat spell now.

(This yarn is nice and soft. Totally not itchy. I might need a matching hat? A cowl?)

Anyway, I'm half-way ready when it gets cold again.
